CCA Honour Roll
The Canadian Charolais Association is proud to be recognizing those individuals who have contributed to the development and success of the Charolais breed in Canada, and who are very involved, as likely are their families, in community and beef industry affairs.
To be considered for nomination to the Honor Roll, the individual should be recognized by his fellow breeders as a leader in promoting Charolais, his provincial association and the CAA, participate in and promote Charolais educational and performance programs, demonstrate innovative management systems or programs which promote Charolais.
Nomination Procedure
Nominations shall be submitted and signed by two members in good standing of the Canadian Charolais Association. Consideration should be given as to how the nominee is named - as an individual, husband and wife, children, farm name, etc. Nominations may be made by provincial boards, breeder groups or individual breeders. A complete biography and picture of the nominee must accompany the nomination on the forms provided by the CCA.
Selection
The Membership Services Committee Chairman will review submissions to ensure the guidelines have been met and complete information provided.
Committee members will then receive all nominations on which they will mark their order of selection and return to the CCA.
The Committee shall recommend their selection to the CCA board of Directors and the number of recipients to be recommended shall not exceed 5. The number of recipients to be reviewed by the Membership Services Committee annually, and, if any change is made, same is to be announced to the membership.
When the honorees have been selected, they shall be advised with a letter of congratulations along with a copy of the biography for their approval.
Nominations that were not selected shall be returned to the nominator with a letter of thank you and a reminder that they may be submitted again next year.
Advertising and Promotion
Information and an invitation to nominate someone is being sent to all Provincial Boards, to the Banner and Press Releases to the Major Ag publications. Coverage of the program to be on an ongoing basis through the regular membership communication channels. Coverage of the honorees will appear in the Charolais Banner following the presentation of same.
A suitable inscribed gift will be presented to the recipients. The inductee names will be added to the Honor Roll Board in the CCA Office.
